What a website is actually for
A business website has one job: take someone who has never met you and give them enough reason, and enough of a route, to get in touch.
Why from scratch, and not a template
Speed
01A template ships the code for every feature it might ever need.
Ownership
02No monthly licence, no locked page builder, no plugin that stops being maintained and takes the contact form down with it.
Difference
03A template is sold to thousands of businesses.
Search
04Templates carry markup you cannot control, which is where a lot of technical SEO problems start.
What gets built
Business and corporate sites
01The core case: who you are, what you sell, why you are credible, and how to reach you.
Portfolio sites
02For people whose work is the argument — designers, photographers, architects, studios.
Landing pages
03One page with one job, usually behind paid traffic.
E-commerce
04Product pages, cart and checkout that survive a phone on a weak connection.
Web applications
05Custom tools when an off-the-shelf product does not fit how you actually work.
What comes with it
Responsive layout tested on real screen sizes, not just a resized browser window.

Website for a home-metalware manufacturer exporting from Moradabad to 34 countries.
Questions people actually ask
01How much does a custom website cost in India?
It depends entirely on scope — a single-page site and a twenty-page e-commerce build are different pieces of work.
02Do you use WordPress?
Only when a project genuinely needs it — usually when a non-technical team has to publish frequently.
03Will I be able to edit the site myself?
Yes, where that is part of the brief. Content that changes often gets an admin panel; content that changes twice a year does not need one, and adding it would only add something else to break.

Send the brief — or the half-formed version of it — and you will get a quote with a timeline attached.
